Our Past: 
    Bible Baptist Church has been a part of the community of Saint Charles for over fifty years. The church began in 1953 with a small band of members who had a vision for an Independent Baptist Church in their city. From humble beginnings in a store front building the church has grown over the years to its present facilities, which include a sanctuary, Sunday school building, and gymnasium. 

Our Purpose:
Bible Baptist Church exists to fulfill the Great Commission and the Great Commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ...

The Great Commission 
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.  Matthew 28:19-20  
                            
The Great Commandment
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. Matthew 22:37-38

Our Pastor:
Steve Parks assumed the position as pastor of Bible Baptist Church in August 2005.

• Born in Garden City, Michigan (a suburb of Detroit)
• Graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO.
• Served as a Youth Pastor for 10 years in Indiana and Michigan
• Pastored in Wabash, Indiana for 17 years before coming to St.Charles.
• Steve has been married to his lovely wife Paula since July 1975
• They have three grown children who are all serving the Lord.
• They currently have four grandchildren (2 girls and a set of twin boys).
• Pastor Parks is an avid reader, a student of history (especially World War II military history), and he enjoys cartooning and sketching.
